Fourth Of July Sourdough Pancakes – Eat With Your Eyes

Ingredients: 2 cups sour starter at room temp,2 tablespoons cane sugar,1 egg,4 tablespoons olive oil, or any vegetable oil,1/2 teaspoon salt,1 teaspoon baking soda,1 tablespoon warm water
Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, whisk together the starter, sugar, egg, oil, and salt; set aside.
  2. Heat up a cast iron skillet or non-stick pan on medium heat
  3. When ready to make; mix baking soda & water, add to the batter
  4. Scoop a ladle full of batter onto the pan,
  5. Wait about 30-45 seconds till it bubbles up and starts to set on the bottom,
  6. Then flip and wait another 30-45 seconds
  7. Keep going till all the batter is gone
  8. Viola!
