Hello again, and welcome to White Claw Week!
This is a fake week I made up because White Claws are taking our nation by storm and I wanted to capitalize on the fact that everyone is drinking it! I’m pretty sure there is some yoga-pant-wearing white girl somewhere out there with White Claw blood in her veins. White Claw is officially summer’s version of a pumpkin spice latte. Did you even summer if you didn’t have a White Claw???
When I decided to do a White Claw Week, I took myself to the local Safeway supermarket to pick up a multi-pack. It was my first time purchasing White Claw as I chose to mooch off of my neighbors’ stashes prior. I got home with a bunch of groceries, including said multi-pack, only to discover mango is not inside the multi-pack. It is an elusive unicorn flavor and we must worship it.
A Claw fan told me mango is only sold in 6-packs and Walmart has them. So the next day, I drove to Walmart in search for this magical mango flavor. The shelves were empty and I briefly wondered if I missed a notice of an impending apocalypse because there were NO Claws in sight. I saw a random man stocking Miller Light down the aisle and decided to ask him if Miller stocks White Claws.
“Yes, we do, but what you see on the shelves is what we have,” he informed me. “So you’re saying you have none because the shelves are empty,” I replied. “I’m looking for mango only,” I added, hoping this would be helpful information.
“Mango White Claw is in a massive shortage,” he said with great disdain. “They can’t keep up with demand and they’re flying off the shelves. It’s a nationwide shortage. Good luck finding it,” he added not helpfully.
A mango Claw shortage? SOUND THE ALARM! Who has the number to the president? Surely he can find us some mango Claws!?
I was kinda bummed because I only needed one can for these mojitos and all of my Claw drinking neighbors were out of mango as well. I called three stores and all were sold out. But Bev-Mo came through HOT and had jumbo-size cans, as well as all the six-packs of all the flavors. The jumbo can was only $2 and I’d say that’s a score. I relayed the national shortage info to the Bev-Mo guy but he was uninterested in the latest Claw news.
ANYWAY. I was home with my mango Claw to make these delish White Claw Mango Mojitos and it was worth the fuss. These mojitos are amazing! I am already a staunch supporter of the Authentic Mojito so I was stoked to make a mango version.
These mojitos have mango puree, although you can use mango juice or mango Torani syrup to achieve the same flavor. I also added in some frozen mango chunks as “ice” and topped it all off with some mango White Claw, as one does.
This tropical drink is going to rock your world, so go out there and find your mango.
White Claw Week: White Claw Mango Mojito

These White Claw Mango Mojitos are such a delicious spin on a classic mojito! Made with mango puree and Mango White Claws for a light, tropical and refreshing drink!
Ingredients
- 1.5 oz white rum (such as Don Q or Bacardi)
- ½ -1 oz simple syrup, depending on how sweet you want it. (If you’re making this with mango Torani syrup, I’d only use ½ oz. If using puree or juice, maybe use 1 full ounce)
- A couple sprigs of mint leaves, torn
- 2 ounces mango puree or juice (can substitute with ONE ounce of mango-flavored Torani syrup)
- Mango White Claws
- Frozen mango chunks for “ice”
Instructions
- In a cocktail shaker, add in the rum, simple syrup, torn mint leaves and mango puree. Top with actual ice. Shake vigorously for 30 seconds. Pour the entire contents of the shaker into a tall, skinny glass. Add in frozen mango chunks and top with cold Mango White Claws. Garnish with additional mint sprigs, if desired.

This one may be one of my favorites of the cocktails I’ve done this week! I love the tropical mango spin on my fave drink, the mojito.
