This frozen mojito recipe — or as we call them, frojitos! — is easy to whip up in just 5 minutes and tastes so refreshing!
Love mojitos?!
Grab your blender and let’s make some frojitos! ♡♡♡
They’re made with all of the same fresh mint, lime juice, rum and honey (my preferred sweetener) that goes into a classic mojito recipe. But in lieu of topping your drink off with club soda, just add in a handful of ice instead. Then toss everything in the blender, puree until the drink is nice and slushie-ish, and voila — a round of refreshing frozen mojitos can be yours to enjoy for happy hour in less than 5 minutes!
Perfect for summertime happy hours and grill-outs and pool days, perfect for using up that overflowing fresh mint in your garden, and perfect for any day that you’re craving an extra-minty mojito.
Cheers, friends! Let’s make some frojitos!
Frozen Mojito Ingredients:
To make these frozen mojitos, you will need:
- Fresh mint leaves: Some for the mojito itself, plus extra for garnish if you would like.
- Rum: Mojitos are typically made with white rum, but feel free to use whatever kind you prefer.
- Lime juice: Freshly-squeezed, please.
- Honey simple syrup: I prefer to make my simple syrup naturally sweetened with honey (see instructions below). But you can always use traditional simple syrup (made with granulated sugar) if you prefer.
- Ice: Just add however much is needed to get that nice fine slushie consistency.
How To Make A Frojito:
To make a frozen mojito, simply…
- Blend the mint, rum, lime juice and sweetener. Combine everything in a high-speed blender and puree until smooth.
- Add ice. Then add in however much ice you need (usually about 1 cup per serving) until the mojito reaches a fine slushie-like consistency.
- Serve. Immediately pour the mojito into a serving glass. Garnish with extra mint and/or lime wedges, if you would like. Then enjoy!
