Please note that you should only upload your own recipes. For copyright reasons, we will not be able to publish any recipes uploaded by our users that were originally written by any other source. We cannot accept incomplete recipes, recipes without exact quantities or recipes that are poor-quality for other reasons.
You can read our full terms and conditions for more information before submitting your recipe.
How to upload a member recipe
Step 1: Log into My Good Food
Log into your My Good Food account in the top right corner of the browser.
Step 2: Start building your own recipe
Once logged in, scroll over to the ‘Own Recipes’ tab. Click ‘Add a new recipe.’
Step 3: Add recipe details
First, title your recipe, keeping it short and descriptive (e.g. chocolate chip cookies). Write a short intro of about 10-15 words explaining your recipe, then add the timings, difficulty level and how many people it serves.
Step 4: Add an image
Upload a photo of your recipe. For the best results, take a clear photo in bright lighting. Once uploaded, crop the image to a square size.
Step 5: Add ingredients and method
Add all the ingredients with exact measurements. Please use metric if possible (we have a handy conversion guide to help). You can split your ingredients into groups, e.g. sauce, filling etc. Write out the steps of your recipe. Be as descriptive and specific as possible.
Step 6: Publish recipe
Submit your recipe for publication. The recipe will appear in your My Good Food space straight away, but there will be a short delay, for moderation purposes, before it will be published. If it hasn’t been published within 48 hours, feel free to get in touch at goodfoodwebsite@bbc.com.
