An easy homemade creamy ranch dressing with fresh herbs!
Summer is the season of salads and almost every great salad has a great dressing! One of the most popular salad dressings around is the ranch dressing and it’s super easy to make a tasty ranch dressing at home! This dressing has a creamy base made from the combination of tangy buttermilk, sour cream and mayonnaise! The main component of a ranch dressing is the combination of herbs and seasoning which typically contain: parsley, chives, and dill with garlic, onion, salt and pepper.
I like to make two different versions of this dressing, one with fresh parsley, chives, dill and garlic, and pone with all dried versions. Both of these versions are amazing and when I have the fresh ingredients on hand I make that, otherwise, I always have the dried herbs and spices in my pantry. You can mix and match the fresh and dried ingredients based on what you have or which you prefer!
There are a lot of ways to change ranch dressing up by adding flavours such as: lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, avocado, chipotle chili peppers in adobo, parmesan, hot sauce, etc.
