How to make a festive and delicious Turkey Snack Board for everyone to gobble up at your Thanksgiving gatherings!
Gobble! Gobble! How cute is this Turkey Snack Board?! I’m on a holiday-themed food board building kick and I just couldn’t resist creating this eatable turkey for Thanksgiving. It’s got the perfect balance of snacks to keep everyone happy until the feast is ready or would be great served on its own for a school party or playdate.
Everyone will go crazy over how cute and tasty it is!
It’s super easy and fun to make with simple and healthy snacks. Let me show you how…
I used a 15-inch round wooden board, but you could use any round board or serving platter you have.
It all starts with a brown Bosc pear which has an elongated neck to it creating the perfect shape for the turkey’s body. Just cut it in half and place the cut side down at the bottom of the board.
From there, I fanned out all the snacks to look like turkey feathers. I put Scalloped Crackers Trio from Trader Joe’s first and then two lines of the Sharp Cheddar Cheese Cracker Cuts from Trader Joe’s in between the lines of crackers.
On the left half of the board, I added green grapes, red apple slices, roasted almonds, baby carrots, snow peas and dried cherries to fill the left side in.
On the right side of the board, I added red grapes, green apple slices, candied walnuts, dried apricots, snow peas and dried cherries to fill the right side in.
For the eyes, I used two macadamia nut halves with a piece of dried cherry stuck to the middle of the flat side of each one. I placed them on the pear, flat side up, with a little honey to hold them in place.
For the beak, I cut a corner off of one of the cheddar cracker cuts and placed it on the pear upside down.
For the snood, I cut a small piece of a red bell pepper, but you could also cut a small piece of red apple, and placed it on the pear with a little honey to help it stick.
And for the feet, I used two candied pecans and stuck them at the bottom of the pear with a little honey to hold them in place.
Ta-Da! That’s all there is to it. You’ve got an adorable and delicious Turkey Snack Board that’s sure to impress and satisfy all your guests!
Happy Turkey Day!
xoxo,
Turkey Snack Board
