Wrapped in crispy bacon and topped with a sweet and savory glaze, these Green Bean Bundles take your Friendsgiving or Thanksgiving veggie to the next level.
That’s a Wrap!
Friends, if you’re used to skipping over the veggies at holiday meals, this dish will change your ways! These are not your grandmother’s Thanksgiving beans, y’all. Salty, savory, sweet — these Green Bean Bundles deliver on flavor, texture and presentation. It’s a side dish that makes a statement and everyone will be back for seconds! I swear, when I tried out this recipe, little heads kept popping up at the kitchen counter, just waiting for a taste.
I like to say that the secret ingredient to home cooked food is love. But the truth is, it’s butter. Or bacon. Or, in this case, it’s both. The bacon adds rich, salty flavor to the beans while the butter turns their outsides crisp and perfect. Just a little bit of prep and 30 minutes in the oven takes this veggie dish from meh to YEAH. These beans will bring ’em to the table, y’all.
How to Make Green Bean Bundles
First, preheat the oven to 350°F. Then bundle the beans by wrapping a half slice of bacon around 5 green beans and secure with a toothpick. Arrange the bundles in a greased casserole dish.
Next, in a small mixing bowl, melt the butter. Whisk in the brown sugar, garlic salt and soy sauce. Then pour the mixture over the green bean bundles.
Finally, bake for 30 minutes or until the bacon is browned. Serve and enjoy!
