Easter cake decoration ideas

Easter nest cake

Our showstopping Easter nest cake is filled to the brim with chocolate mini eggs. Bake a layered chocolate cake, then make a giant nest out of marshmallows, pretzels, shredded wheat and chocolate. Fill the well of the nest with as many Easter eggs as it will hold.

Duck egg sponge cake

This pastel blue sponge cake looks gorgeous on any Easter dinner table. Make a pastel blue buttercream with a drop of food colouring, then gently dust with cocoa powder for a more rustic look. Top with speckled mini eggs in an assortment of sizes.

Capture the spirit of spring with this adorable carrot patch cake. Bake a simple carrot loaf cake spiced with nutmeg and cinnamon and filled with grated carrots and sultanas, then top with a generous layer of rich soft cheese frosting. Make some carrots out of fondant icing or marzipan to decorate, and sprinkle with sliced pistachios.
