Caribbean Rum Punch | The Domestic Rebel

I seriously am having dreams about being on the Caribbean Princess still – and we were only on the ship for a week! It was truly the best vacation and I am already planning another trip back soon.

If you’ve never been to the Caribbean, it is a gorgeous place. The water is crystal clear turquoise blue, there are dolphins that will swim up alongside the ship, the beaches are filled with sparkling white sand and you cannot go anywhere on any island without trying some authentic rum punch!

Several islands around the Caribbean export rum as one of their main exports, including Puerto Rico, which was one of the stops we made on my most recent Caribbean cruise. In fact, we made homemade mojitos while exploring San Juan and learned about Don Q rum, which is my new favorite. It is triple-filtered for an ultra smooth and deliciously easy to drink rum. But of course, any rum will work in this recipe!

In fact, our first port on my cruise was Princess Cays, Bahamas with glittering blue waters and lots of cabanas on the sandy beaches for soaking up the sun. My mom and I took a glass bottom boat ride out to explore coral reefs, and when we got back, we stopped by a little bar on the shore and picked up some rum punch. It just quenches your thirst like no other and it is so easy to whip up a big ol’ batch… perfect for parties!

And with the new Ocean Medallion technology onboard the Princess ships, when we got back to our room we could order rum punch using the OceanNOW app. We simply got back to the room, opened the app and clicked to order two rum punches to be delivered to our room within minutes. It’s the best concierge food and drink service I’ve ever experienced!

This Caribbean Rum Punch is evoking so many memories from my cruise and I know you guys are going to love it! For the punch, you’ll need pineapple juice, orange juice, grenadine, and three kinds of rum: white rum, spiced rum, and coconut rum. Even if you think you don’t like coconut, I implore you not to leave out the coconut rum! It adds that signature Caribbean rum punch flavor everyone knows and loves. It is not overly coconutty but it adds that je ne sais quoi factor that is a must have for rum punch!

All you do is add everything to a large pitcher and stir to combine! You could let it set for a couple hours to really let the flavors meld together, but I think it is perfect and ready to go right off the bat! This is one of those go-to party drinks because it can be easily doubled or tripled depending on the size of your pitcher (and crowd!) and it tastes amazing. It definitely sneaks up on you, though, so be warned! ?

Because of the fruit juices, I would definitely drink it within 2 days though so nothing gets spoiled!

But I doubt it’ll last that long!!
