This fun and festive Christmas Tree Cheese Board is perfect for serving up when entertaining over the holidays. Nothing is more impressive than a beautiful spread of cheese and meats. But you can make it even prettier by arranging everything into the shape of a Christmas tree. Fill out your cheese board with your favorite cheeses, seasonal fruits, meats, and crackers to create the perfect appetizer.

I wanted to share one last holiday dish with you guys before taking a few days off for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day!
This is more of an idea than a recipe. But it’s such a cute idea, and I had so much fun creating this!
As is my tradition, every year I just love to make a new seasonal cheese board. Just before Thanksgiving I made a turkey cheese board. That kind of inspired this Christmas tree board.
I had so much fun making the turkey cheese board that I wanted to try and do something for Christmas too. I was torn between a holiday wreath and tree. But in the end, I felt like a tree would be a little more fun and different.
Here’s how I make the Christmas Tree
First of all, putting this into any sort of steps was tricky. This is one of those no recipe, recipes. The creation of the tree is really up to you and your vision.
To easily create mine, I started with some kitchen twine and traced out a tree. This really helped as I was creating the tree to keep everything moving in the right direction.
Once I had the tree outlined, I filled it in with my assortment of cheeses, meats, and fruits. You can use any assortment of cheese and deli meats that you love. The same goes for the fruit, but I do love to include pomegranates for a nice pop of color.
I found it easiest to build the tree from the bottom up. I also like to group ingredients together to keep things neat.
For the tree trunk, I used square crackers. And for star on top, I grabbed a snowflake cookie cutter and filled it with pomegranates. It worked perfectly!
I took a few quick photos, then served it up to my family while we all made dinner. Not all of my family is here yet, so I’m definitely excited to make this again for my cousins on Christmas Eve.
It’s easier and quicker than you’d think to throw together, but always impressive!

- 3-4 cheese wedges/blocks, such as Brie, parmesan, cheddar, and blue cheese
- assorted meats, such as salami, prosciutto, and pepperoni
- assorted nuts, such as Marcona almonds and pistachios
- assorted fruit, such as pomegranate, pears, citrus, and persimmons
- assorted veggies, such as marinated artichokes, mixed olives, and pickles
- fresh rosemary
- crackers or a variety of your favorites
1. Find some string and drape it into the shape of a triangle on a medium to large cheese board. Use the string as a guide while building the board. 2. Working from the bottom up, fill in the tree in with the meats, nuts, fruits, and veggies, as desired. Use crackers to create the “trunk” of the tree. 4. Fill in any empty spaces with pomegranates or olives, then add some rosemary around the edges for “branches”. 3. Serve the cheese board at room temperature with additional crackers on the side.
Serve at Room Temp: room temperature is always best for a cheese board.
