Another holiday means another adorably easy cinnamon roll idea to celebrate with! These Bunny Cinnamon Rolls are just too cute! The simple step of shaping cinnamon rolls into a bunny face with ears before baking them and then decorating them with a some festive sprinkles and some candies makes for an extra special Easter breakfast treat.

My kiddos LOVED helping me make these Bunny Cinnamon Rolls and they can hardly wait to bake them again on Easter morning as a fun activity before or after we hunt for eggs. They’d also be such a festive addition to any Easter brunch spread.

You can use canned cinnamon rolls or homemade cinnamon rolls. Simply shape the cinnamon rolls into the bunny by creating two bunny ears with the outside end. Place them on a baking sheet and bake according to package or recipe directions. Halfway through the baking time, remove them from the oven and use the end of a spoon to reinforce the bunny shape. Return them to the oven to finish baking. Once they’re baked, remove them from the oven and drizzle with the icing. Immediately, sprinkle with sprinkles and place two round candies for the bunny’s eyes and one round candy for the bunny’s nose. Ta-Da!

Easter Bunny Cinnamon Rolls

 

These adorable Bunny Cinnamon Rolls are so easy to make and would be such a special treat on Easter morning!

Ingredients

  • 1 can of store-bought cinnamon rolls with icing (or homemade cinnamon rolls)
  • Easter colored sprinkles
  • Easter colored M&M’s

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven according to the package directions on the canned cinnamon rolls or recipe you use. Separate the cinnamon rolls so you can start forming each one into the bunny shape.
  2. Use your hands to pull the outer end out and up into one bunny ear and then another bunny ear. Press down between the two bunny ears and in on the outsides of the bunny ears to secure them to the round part of the cinnamon roll. Transfer them to a baking sheet and reinforce the shape, if neccesary, so each one looks like a bunny.
  3. Place them in the oven and bake according to the directions on the can or for the recipe. Halfway through the baking time, remove the bunny cinnamon rolls from the oven and reinforce the shape with the handle of a spoon and/or carefully with your hands as they’ll be warm.
  4. Place the bunny cinnamon rolls back in the oven to finish baking. Once baked, remove them from the oven and drizzle with the icing while still warm. Immediately sprinkle with festive sprinkles and garnish with two round candies for the eyes and one round candy for the nose. Serve and enjoy!
