Easy Peach Cobbler Recipe | The BEST Peach Cobbler EVER!

Easy Peach Cobbler is a classic Southern recipe filled with juicy peaches with a crisp and sweet cobbler topping that is is buttery and delicious.

I can’t believe I have never shared this homemade peach cobbler recipe on my site yet! I think I forget about the classics sometimes…especially ones that involve peaches! I did share a recipe for Sugar Cookie Peach Cobbler, which is made in a skillet, which is fantastic! BUT if you’re looking for a more classic cobbler, today’s recipe is for you!

We have a peach allergy in our house, so it’s not a fruit I use a lot, but oh my they’re good. And the beauty of this cobbler recipe is that you can use frozen, canned, or fresh peaches, so you can enjoy peach cobbler all year long. I actually prefer using frozen peaches for this recipe for ease. Plus, frozen peaches are very sweet! Enjoy it warm, topped with ice cream, the way the Lord intended.

This Homemade Peach Cobbler Recipe is a Crowd Pleaser!

Like I said, this cobbler recipe can be made with frozen, fresh, or even canned peaches. AND like I said, I actually prefer frozen. This is because the peeling work is already done for me…sue me, I’m lazy. Also frozen peaches are always sweet, being picked at prime ripeness. And this way I can enjoy peach cobbler from scratch all year long. But please, don’t let my laziness deter you. You can certainly use fresh peaches, because when they’re in season, they are OH so good.

How to make easy peach cobbler from scratch

How Do Yo Make Peach Cobbler From Scratch?

If you choose to use canned peaches, make sure you pick up the peaches in water, not syrup, as you won’t need extra sugar. And drain them. I note in the recipe that you don’t drain the frozen (and thawed) peaches, only because there is very minimal liquid in the bag of frozen peaches.

If you choose to use fresh peaches, a trick you can do to sweetened the peaches, is sprinkle them with the 1/3 cup sugar instead of mixing the sugar with the butter. Let them site while you make the rest of the cobbler topping and then pour them into the prepared baking dish!

Yes, absolutely! You can turn this peach cobbler into ANY fruit cobbler, with really no alterations! Here are some ideas:

  • Strawberries

Easy Homemade Peach Cobbler topped with ice cream

Making Peach Cobbler From Scratch is Easy!

I love topping warm cobbler with ice cream, but it’s equally as good with whipped cream, or even plain! This is an easy recipe to make ahead and take to a potluck or picnic as well. Because while it’s great warm, it’s just as good at room temperature, and doesn’t have to be refrigerated, so it’s a great idea for a BBQ!
