White Claw Slushies are the perfect summer cocktail, made with blended fruit, rum, ice, and White Claw hard seltzer. You are really going to enjoy their clean, fruity taste and icy freshness!
A Viral Summer Cocktail
What are White Claw slushies, you ask? Well, For starters, it’s all about that iconic can of White Claw, the fruity hard seltzer that’s been taking the world by storm. If you like LaCroix, this alcoholic seltzer is probably perfect for you – it’s got a similar hint of fruit flavor, tons of fizz, and a light boozy twist.
The only thing better than White Claw, of course, is White Claw as a slushie! Blended up with frozen fruit, plenty of ice, and a splash of something a little harder, it’s a fabulous, fresh cocktail that’s just right for summer weather. This easy drink became social-media-famous thanks to TikTok, and is now a favorite worldwide.
Sidenote: I think it all started with these so, so, SO amazing Berry Wine Slushies! ?
The Ingredients
The flavor of your slushie will depend mostly on what kind of fruit you choose. My version is a berry White Claw slushie, with raspberries and strawberries – but use what you love! (And see the variation section below for more great fruit combos to use with any flavor of White Claw.)
- White Claw: To serve four, you’ll want two cans of White Claw, whichever flavor you like. I used Raspberry, to go with my berry theme.
- White Rum or Vodka: Vodka is very neutral, and will allow the fruit flavors to take center stage. Rum will add a tiny bit more of its own distinctive flavor to the mix.
- Simple Syrup: For sweetening.
- Lemon Juice: Juice one small lemon to intensify the flavors in the drink.
- Ice: Around 3 cups, potentially more if you like a thicker slushie.
- Frozen Fruit: I used frozen raspberries and strawberries.
Is There Vodka in White Claw?
Actually, no – there isn’t any vodka in the White Claw itself. The alcohol in this popular drink comes from fermented sugar, giving it a clean taste and a boozy kick without adding vodka. However, once you add the fruit and ice, the drink is not at all strong – that’s why I add vodka, or white rum.
How Do You Make a White Claw Slushie?
Seriously, White Claw slushies might be the simplest drink of all time! It’s basically just a matter of throwing everything in a blender. Here’s how you do it.
- Measure and Combine the Ingredients. In a high-powered blender, combine the White Claw, rum (or vodka), simple syrup, lemon juice, ice, and frozen berries.
- Blend. Blend everything until completely smooth and slushy.
- Enjoy! Divide evenly into 4 glasses, and serve immediately.
Easy Tips for Success
So there you have it – the perfect poolside drink, fruity and fun. Before you start blending, though, let me share a couple of helpful tips!
- Play with the Numbers: Serving a crowd? You can double or even triple the recipe, and serve from a pitcher. Need less slushie? Halve that recipe.
- Adjust the Hard Liquor: You can play with the amount of vodka or rum you use, depending on your taste. Or, for a much lighter cocktail, leave it out entirely.
- Thicken with Ice: Add more ice, or frozen fruit, if your slushie isn’t as thick as you’d like.
- Use a Powerful Blender: Not all blenders can handle crushing ice, so be sure yours is meant for that before you try making a White Claw slushie. Otherwise, the blender may break.
Yummy Variations
You can make just about any variation imaginable by changing up your fruit, White Claw flavor, and the amount of liquor and lemon out lime juice that you add. Try…
- Strawberry Kiwi
- Pineapple Lime
- Cherry Lime
- Cucumber Melon
- Strawberry Banana
And more!
How to Store Leftover White Claw Slushies
- Leftovers don’t last long, since the fizziness of the seltzer fades away. You can put any leftover slushie into a jar or other container, and chill for about one hour, but it is definitely best served immediately after you make it.
ENJOY!
- In a high powered blender, combine the white claw, rum (or vodka), simple syrup, lemon juice, ice, and frozen berries.
Blend until completely smooth.
Divide between 4 glasses.
Serve immediately.
