What ingredients make up the flavorful marinade for the Greek lamb souvlaki?
Ingredients:
- 1 lb. lamb loin, cut into cubes
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 red onion, cut into wedges
- 1 green bell pepper, seeded and cut into pieces
- 1 yellow bell pepper, seeded and cut into pieces
- 8 skewers, soaked in water for at least 30 minutes
Instructions:
- In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, red wine vinegar, garlic, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
- Add the lamb cubes to the bowl and toss them in the marinade until coated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- Thread the lamb cubes, onion wedges, and bell pepper pieces onto the skewers, alternating between them.
