Garlic Parmesan French Fries dressed in Caesar Dressing. Crispy, baked, cheesy and drenched in homemade Caesar dressing – these are the best French fries. Thin-cut potatoes tossed with garlic, oven-baked until perfectly crisp on the outside, yet perfectly soft inside. Toss the hot fries with freshly grated parmesan, herbs, then homemade creamy Caesar dressing. The best, slightly addicting appetizer, afternoon snack, or side dish to accompany just about any meal!

It’s french fry day! Usually, I’m all about sharing quick dinners or something sweet, but not today! Today is my favorite recipe of the week, homemade french fries!

Oh how I love this recipe, these fries are just so yummy. Kind of like something you might order out, but we’re enjoying them at home.

As a kid, like almost everyone, I loved french fries. I grew up enjoying my dad’s oven fries on a weekly basis, then every time my family would head to our cabin in New York, we’d always get dinner from the local bar in town.

We’d order parmesan fries every time. Served up alongside classic bar food like wings, nachos, chilis, Caesar salads, nachos, and of course, a few beers.

Classic bar food, but they’re the best. The french fries would come tossed with parmesan and tossed up in a creamy sauce. I drew inspiration from way back then and created my own recipe.

Of course, I think these are even better.

You’ll want to start by cutting the potatoes into thin matchsticks and then baking them until crisp. The key to a crisp oven-baked fry is not to overcrowd the baking sheet. If you have too many potatoes crowding the pan, the fries will steam instead of crisp. I like to use two baking sheets to ensure the fries have plenty of room to get nice and crispy. It’s better to have extra space on the baking sheet than a pan full of soggy fries.

The second key? Toss the fries with a small amount of flour before baking. The flour sticks to the fries. Then once the fries are fully baked they have a nice crispy bite!

When the fries have finished baking, toss the hot fries with parmesan and then either fresh parsley or oregano. I love to use oregano.

While everything is baking, mix the dressing. Sometimes I’ll use the food processor, and sometimes just a jar. Either way, mix everything up until creamy.

Mayo, lemon, dijon, Worcestershire, garlic salt, peppers, and parmesan. This dressing is our favorite. It’s so addicting with the parmesan mixed in.

As soon as the fries come out of the oven, toss them with the parmesan and herbs. Then, arrange them on a serving plate and drizzle them with the dressing.

Mixing/tossing everything, while the fries are still warm, is kind of the secret. The warmth from the fries melts the cheese and creates the most wonderful garlicky flavors – both in smell and taste!

As soon as the smell hit your nose, you’ll be even more excited to enjoy these very yummy fries!

So simple, but wow so scrumptious. ENJOY, these really are a favorite!

  • 1. Preheat the oven to 450° F.2. Toss the potatoes with flour, paprika, garlic powder, cayenne, and a big pinch of salt. Toss to coat. Add olive oil and toss again, then spread in an even layer across two baking sheets. Do not overcrowd the pans. Bake 10-15 minutes, then flip and bake for 10 minutes more. Keep an eye on them, if you cut your fries super skinny, they can burn quickly. 3. Pull the fries out and toss with parmesan and herbs. 4. To make the dressing. Combine all ingredients in a glass jar and whisk until smooth. Add 1-3 tablespoons water to thin the dressing. Taste and adjust the salt and pepper. 4. Arrange the hot fries on a serving plate. Drizzle with generous amounts of Caesar dressing. Serve with additional dressing and ketchup for dipping. ENJOY!
