Juan is a vibrant new Latin-Asian restaurant in Galleria Mall

Embark on a culinary adventure at Juan, with delightful Latin-Asian cuisine and storytelling featuring Japanese, Chinese and Peruvian influence

Nestled in Galleria Mall on Al Wasl Road, Dubai, Juan offers a culinary escapade teeming with Latin-Asian flavours and culture.

Juan’s unique environment blends traditional Latin-Asian heritage with a modern twist, to present curated dishes with an artistic flair, premium ingredients and rich flavours. The animated atmosphere also incorporates a mix of Japanese, Chinese and Peruvian influence to surprise diners with an immersive dining experience.

The restaurant is an ode to the Asian immigrants that travelled to South America between the 19th and 20th centuries to start a new life. Having settled in a foreign land, they practiced their own culture and cooking methods, with each passing generation adding newer flavours and local specialities. This resulted in the creation of a lively synthesis of two cuisines – Nikkei, the fusion of Peruvian ingredients with Japanese techniques and Chifa, the melding of Cantonese elements with Peruvian ingredients and traditions – both at the forefront of Juan’s menu offerings.

The name ‘Juan’ is a Chinese and Latin name representing the link between the different cultures from which these cuisines emerged, thanks to generations of people living, sharing and learning together. Juan’s menu is designed to offer a selection of diverse dishes, including Tacos, Tiraditos, Ceviche, bites from a Robata and Josper oven, a Wok and more. Similarly, the restaurant also offers an Omakase-style experience, where diners leave their menu selection to the chef.

Juan takes its menu seriously and boasts a Peruvian Executive Chef, John Evans; a Costa Rican Sous Chef; and an experienced Japanese Itamae (Sushi Master).
