Spare Ribs – Eat With Your Eyes

Ingredients: 2 tablespoons oil,3 tablespoons clear honey,1 piece fresh ginger root – (½”) finely chopped,2 tablespoons dark soy sauce,2 tablespoons hoisin sauce,1 teaspoon five-spice powder,2 garlic cloves crushed,2 pounds spare ribs
Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven 400 degrees.
  2. Combine all the ingredients, except the spare ribs, in a jug and mix well.
  3. Pour over the ribs and leave to marinate for as long as possible, ideally overnight.
  4. Place the ribs on a rack in a roasting pan. Cook in a preheated oven at 400 degrees for about 45 minutes, turning the ribs over half way through the cooking time. Allow to cool and serve cold.
