After two years’ sabbatical, when the announcement was made virtually, Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants, sponsored by S.Pellegrino & Acqua Panna, returns in the flesh at live events on 29 March in Bangkok, Macau and Tokyo, and you can watch right here on Fine Dining Lovers.
Having already announced Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants rankings from 51-100 a week ahead of the event, the stage is set for the much anticipated countdown from 50-1, from 10:00 UK time.
As part of the build-up to the event, South Korean monk Jeong Kwan was announced as the winner of the Icon Award Asia, recognised for her philosophical approach to cooking and her mastery of temple cuisine with impeccably crafted dishes reflecting her innate creativity, technical skills, and deep respect for seasonal ingredients.
Last year’s number one spot on Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants list was claimed by The Chairman, Hong Kong, with Singaporean restaurant Odette by Julien Royer coming in second place. The third place was taken by Den, of Japan.
