Grab your food processor or blender for a 5-Minute Healthy Blueberry Frozen Yogurt recipe that’s cool, creamy and made with only four ingredients.
Healthy frozen yogurt? It may sound too good to be true, but we’ve been down this path with great success in the past (hello, strawberry and peach fans!), so why not keep the healthy desserts party going?
This berry-filled version can be whipped up in a food processor or blender. Note that the latter will require you to stop and scrape down the sides every minute or so. Those extra few minutes will be well worth it when you’re dunking your spoon into the coolest, creamiest and healthiest froyo to ever hit your lips.
Why Is My Homemade Frozen Yogurt Icy?
Let’s kick things off by answering the most common conundrum when it comes to DIY froyo: iciness! The goal here is smooth and creamy. I love a good crunchy granita and slushie, but we want that swirled-from-the-machine consistency. So how do you achieve smooth success? It all comes down to the ratio of fruit to yogurt.
You want just enough yogurt (any type, from plain to flavored and classic to Greek) to lend creaminess without overpowering the flavor of the fruit. Follow my recipe and you’ll be well on your way to creamy bliss.
How Long Does Froyo Last In the Freezer?
How long homemade blueberry frozen yogurt lasts in the freezer all comes down to how quickly you freeze it after making it, as well as how it’s stored. It’s important to keep it in an airtight container. I like to take the fresh factor one step further by sealing the container in a plastic bag, which also helps prevent freezer burn.
Properly package frozen yogurt can last indefinitely in the freezer, however I like to enjoy mine within 2 to 3 months to guarantee the best flavor.

Serve immediately or store in an airtight container in the freezer.
