Easter brunch is always a pretty big affair at our house. We bring all our spring favorites to the table, like broccoli salad, banana pudding and classic dinner rolls. But this year, we’ll be swapping out our rolls for these adorable bunny shaped crescent rolls.

Aren’t they so cute? The simple bunny shape is so easy to achieve with just a few steps. Older kids will love helping. And kids of all ages will love the fun they bring to Easter brunch.

What Do I Need to Make Bunny Shaped Dinner Rolls?

  • 1 (8 ounce) can crescent rolls dough (8 count)
  • 2 tablespoon butter, melted, divided
  • Parchment
  • Baking sheet

Crescent Roll Dough vs Puff Pastry

What’s the difference between crescent roll dough and puff pastry? Great question! They’re both laminated doughs, but crescent roll dough contains yeast that makes them bake up puffy and light. Which is the texture we’re going for!

How to Make Bunny Shaped Crescent Dinner Rolls

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Remove the crescent dough from the can and divide into the 8 triangles.
  • On a cutting board, cut a corner off of each crescent triangle. Roll the cut off corner into a smooth ball and set aside.
  • Roll the remaining dough into a smooth rope that measure about 10 inches long.

  • Twist the rope twice so there’s a hole in the bottom. Place the twisted dough on the prepared baking sheet and arrange so the ends are flopping over. Press the flopping ends down slightly into the pan.
  • Place the reserved ball of crescent dough in the hole.
  • Repeat with the remaining crescent dough triangles until you have 8 bunny shapes.

  • Brush the dough with half of the melted butter (1 tablespoon).

  • Bake for 10 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Remove from the oven and brush with the remaining melted butter.
