Slow Cooker Mashed Sweet Potatoes

Super easy, creamy mashed sweet potatoes made in the slow cooker!
- 2 pounds sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into 1-2 inch cubes
- 2 tablespoons butter
- milk to taste
- Cook the sweet potatoes in the slow cooker until tender, about 2-3 hours on high or 4-6 hours on low.
- Mash and mix in the butter and enough milk to get to the desired consistency.
Option: Add a pinch cinnamon!
Option: Add a pinch nutmeg!
Option: Add a pinch ginger!
Option: Add brown sugar to taste!
Option: Add maple syrup to taste!
Option: Top with 1/3 cup chopped pecans!
Option: Add 3 whole cloves garlic to the slow cooker with the sweet potatoes!
Option: Add 1 tablespoon miso paste!
Option: Add 1/4 cup grated parmesan!
Option: Replace the milk with cream or sour cream.
Tip: You can ‘mash’ with a mixer or a food processor if you wish!
