Easy, Fruity, Fun!

The ingredients for this Easter fruit pizza recipe are simple. Using store-bought sugar cookie dough makes this fruit pizza recipe, so, so easy. But homemade cookie dough works just as well for the sugar cookie base!

My favorite sugar cookie dough is this Easy No-Chill Cut Out Sugar Cookie recipe. It’s the perfect sugar cookie dough recipe. Chewy and perfectly sweetened. Just use two cups of the dough to make an egg the right size!

Choose fresh fruit to your taste! If you don’t like kiwi or mandarin oranges, for instance, swap them out with your favorite fruit. Sugar cookie fruit pizza is very flexible and oh so fun.

Make it Ahead of Time!

You can make and bake the cookie dough up to 2 days in advance. For the best enjoyment, I recommend icing and adding fruit the day you plan to serve it. Keep it prepped in the fridge for a few hours before serving.

How to Make a Giant Easter Egg Fruit Pizza

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line a 16×12-inch baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Place the cookie dough on the prepared baking sheet and form it into the shape of an egg that is about 1/4 inch thick, 15 inches long and 11 inches wide.
  • Bake until golden brown around the edges and set in the middle, about 18 minutes, rotating the pan halfway through the baking time.
  • Remove and let cool completely.
  • Make the icing. In the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the whisk attachment, beat the cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Add the vanilla.

How to Store Easter Egg Fruit Pizza

Leftovers can be kept in a sealed container in the fridge for up to 2 days. The cookie will get a little soggy and the fruit will sweat, especially as its come to room temperature. So it’s best to enjoy any leftovers while still chilled.
